Preparation and setup

Prepare first, then install, connect and start your first task.

  1. Check requirements and back up

    Check the requirements above and back up your existing configuration and important files. When the installer is released, verify its source, operating system and architecture.

  2. Install and connect

    Install the official release using the instructions for your operating system. Open the assistant, connect your account and configure your models.

  3. Start your first task

    Start with a simple task to check your connection and model, then choose Skills as needed.

  1. 設定アシスタントをダウンロードしてインストール

    • WindowsまたはApple Silicon Mac用を選択
    • 案内に従ってバックアップとインストールを完了
    • インストール後にCodexの起動を確認
    完了後設定アシスタントのインストール完了

  2. Codexの設定を完了

    • アシスタントでアカウントを接続
    • このタスクで使うモデルを選択
    • 接続状態を確認してCodexを開く
    完了後Codexでタスクを開始できます

  3. Skillテンプレートを選択

    • コンテンツ制作・業務・調査などから選択
    • テンプレートの説明をCodexにコピー
    • 案内に従って最初の成果物を作成
    完了後実践タスクをすぐに開始

  4. プロンプトで最初のタスクを開始

    • 希望する結果を説明
    • 参考資料・用途・出力形式を追加
    • 結果を確認し、修正点をCodexに伝える
    完了後引き続き編集できる成果物を取得

Frequently asked questions

Can I download the installer now?

Client installers are not yet released. Review the pre-installation checklist or choose Skills first. Once an official installer is available, follow the guide for your system.

How do I install the official release?

Once you have the official Windows installer, follow its backup, installation, launch and connection steps. Check its system and architecture requirements first.

Once you have the official PKG, quit any running Assistant and follow the installation prompts. Then open Codex Assistant in Applications. Check the official installer’s system and architecture requirements first.

What if macOS shows a Privacy & Security prompt?
  1. Confirm that the installer came from this site and that you trust the source.
  2. After trying to open it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and find the blocked installer or app.
  3. Select Open Anyway and follow the prompts. The label may vary by macOS version.

If macOS says the file is damaged or will damage your computer, stop installing and contact support. On a managed computer, contact your administrator.
